El día sábado 3 de septiembre Foo Fighters se presentó por primera vez desde la trágica muerte del baterista Taylor Hawkins, con un estadio de Wembley repleto en Inglaterra para un tributo con muchísimos artistas de renombre internacional.
La lista de músicos participantes incluyó a artistas que iban desde desde los autoproclamados ídolos de Hawkins hasta algunos con los que hizo música fuera de su banda principal. Entre los que actuaron estaban Geddy Lee y Alex Lifeson de Rush, Brian May y Roger Taylor de Queen, Brian Johnson de AC/DC, Liam Gallagher y Travis Barker.
También hubo invitados sorpresa como Paul McCartney y miembros de la propia familia de la banda: Shane Hawkins, quien tocó «My Hero» y Olivia Grohl pasaron un tiempo en el escenario. Además, la niña Nandi Brushell de 12 años, quien años atrás había desafiado a Grohl a un «Drum-Off» hace un par de años, también pasó por el escenario a tocar «Learn To Fly«.
Como prometió Dave Grohl al comienzo del show, fue “una gigantesca noche del carajo para una persona gigantesca del carajo”. El concierto duró casi seis horas y contó con una lista de canciones de 50 canciones.Cuando llegó el momento de «Times Like These«, Dave no pudo contener sus lágrimas en lo que fue una noche épica.
